FAQ
Questions people ask first.
Pricing & billing
Do e-signatures cost extra?
No. The e-signature engine is native — unlimited signing in every band, with evidence records (IP, device, time, document hash) and completion certificates.
What happens beyond my band?
Each company beyond your band is $10 a year, added at sign-up or mid-year — the price you see is always the cheapest combination for your count. Your January renewal re-prices the whole book the same way. Above 500 companies, contact us at support@ohmyregistry.com. Prices in Canadian dollars (CAD), plus 5% GST. Introductory pricing — subject to change.
What counts as a company?
A corporation you keep records for on the platform. Bands count companies, not users — your whole team works in every band.
What if my book grows mid-year?
Add companies any time — each company beyond your band is $10 for the rest of the year, and the January renewal re-prices your whole book at the cheapest combination that covers it. Above 500 companies, contact us at support@ohmyregistry.com. Prices in Canadian dollars (CAD), plus 5% GST. Introductory pricing — subject to change.
How do you estimate savings?
The estimated savings compare doing routine annual corporate maintenance yourself in Oh My Registry with paying a law firm a typical range per company per year for the same routine work. They exclude your own time and filing fees registries charge either way — the full basis and formulas are on the pricing page.
Do my clients pay anything?
No. Client portal access rides your plan. What you bill your clients for the records work is yours — that's the point. Typical firm billings — your fees, not ours.
What the product is — and isn't
Is this legal advice?
No. Oh My Registry is do-it-yourself records software. It does not give legal, tax, or accounting advice, and using it does not create a professional relationship. Matters in legal-drafting territory stop at a fact brief and a referral to counsel — the software will not draft those instruments. You remain the professional on the file.
Is this a legal-services product?
No — and that's deliberate. Oh My Registry is do-it-yourself software your firm operates. It does not provide legal, tax, or accounting advice. Matters in legal-drafting territory (USAs, amendments, rollovers, freezes) are captured as facts and turned into a referral brief for counsel — the software will not draft those instruments.
Your records & your clients
What do my clients see?
Only their own company. A client you invite gets a scoped portal: their records, the documents you choose to share, upload requests, and anything waiting for their signature. They never see your other clients or your internal work.
Can I get my data out?
Yes, at any time: registers, reports, documents, and compiled minute books all export. Your firm owns the records it keeps.
AI
Do I have to use the AI?
No. Everything works without it. AI assistance is optional and sold as credits — $10 per 1,000. Introductory pricing — subject to change. AI proposes; your professionals approve. AI output can be wrong, so nothing it generates is ever finalized automatically — a person approves before anything touches the record. Every firm owner e-signs this understanding at onboarding.
Deadlines
How do deadlines actually work?
Each company's recurring obligations are computed from its own dates — incorporation date and year-end — and appear as work items with due dates: annual returns for federal, BC, Alberta and Ontario companies, plus the CRA T2 return and T2 balance-due dates. Each deadline repeats year after year and closes when you mark it filed, keeping the confirmation number and receipt as proof. Statuses move to due and overdue on their own. Put a company on the record three years late and its missed periods appear as overdue work, so you start from the truth.
